241243 - Modular Construction in Your Community

Monday AM - This half-day session will provide for TDLR’s Industrialized Housing and Building (IHB) department to discuss what the local building official should know and do when a modular building or home arrives in their community. IHB Specialists clarify the information and documents you should get, propose questions you should ask, and identify the players involved. The session will also review the authority, role, and responsibilities of the municipal authority, and discuss what happens when a modular installation is outside the jurisdiction of a city or inside a city with no building inspection department.
